Lightning Hockey Team | Lightning | COED

AJ has been playing hockey since he was 12 years old. A staunch supporter of the Florida Panthers, he and his family are season ticket holders that attend games so long as they don’t conflict with AJ’s games. He has been a valued member of the Lighting team for the last four years. The coaches have seen him grow from a young freshman into our team’s captain. Off the ice AJ is quick with a smile or a kind word. Always encouraging those around him. He rarely misses a practice or a game and leaves everything on the ice each and every shift he plays. AJ is looked up to by his peers and teammates. He religiously brings the world’s largest boom box to warm ups and makes sure the team is ready to play. He brings a mix of fun and dedication that trickles down to his team. AJ is not afraid to check someone that messes with his players and is always looking out for the underdog. He loves the game, loves his teammates and his enthusiasm is contagious. There is no one on the Lightning Team that embodies the spirit of the Hobey Baker award the way AJ does. AJ’s skates will be hard to fill next year.
