Charlotte Catholic | Cougars | COED
Abby Radcliffe is an outstanding person with strong character and I am honored to recommend her for the Hobey Baker High School Character Award. Abby exemplifies the type of high character individual who excels in the areas that are important for the Hobey Baker Award – Coachability, Strength of character, integrity, commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship. She is the hardest working player on and off the ice on any team that she plays on. This is a consistent comment from her coaches – Abby works hard, never takes off a shift, always looks to improve, and has a great attitude. With this attitude, she is one of the most coachable players that I have ever had the pleasure to coach. She listens, makes corrections in her game, and is very respectful. Her commitment to the game and to being the best teammate she can be is unparalleled. This commitment is shown every season when she has been chosen for boy’s teams because of her skill, tenacity, hard work, and love of the game. She quickly gains the respect of her teammates, works harder than anyone, and is typically one of the best players on her team. Her teammates respect her work ethic, integrity and commitment to teamwork. With her strong offensive skills, she is typically one of the team’s leading scorers and this comes from many assists because she values her teammates. Abby is also a Varsity Lacrosse player at Charlotte Catholic High School, does very well academically, and is looking to play hockey at the collegiate level. Abby is the daughter of Jerry and Annette Radcliffe of Charlotte.
