Abby had quit playing hockey for at least a year and then decided to play for our high school as a junior. She saw very little playing time as a junior and even in the first half of her senior season. Abby never complained and maintained a positive attitude toward the coaching staff. She had constructive conversations with us to ask what she needed to do to get more playing time. Due to injuries and illnesses she was given the opportunity to play late in a crucial game and she stepped up and made the most of her opportunity. Since that game she has played much more frequently and makes the most of the time that she has earned. Abby continues to work hard in practice and she continues to improve her skills.
