The most coveted award in collegiate hockey, the Hobey Baker Award is given to the top NCAA men’s ice hockey player in the nation. Winners are chosen not for raw skill or stats or character alone, though those are important. They are selected for everything they do.

Each year, the Hobey Baker Foundation honors one of the all-time great contributors to the game of college hockey. Without question, these individuals have left their valuable trademark on the collegiate game.

Hobey Baker High School Character Award
Each year, a single senior hockey player from each participating high school is selected by his or her coach to be honored by teammates and celebrated by the school and the community for outstanding individual performance on and off the ice. Because their presence makes the game better, we want them to be a part of Hobey Baker’s Legend.
