Kyle Hudson embodies the perseverance, dedication, and sportsmanship that define the Hobey Baker Award. Despite facing significant health challenges, Kyle’s determination to continue playing the game he loves has never wavered.

Kyle is a true team leader—always looking for ways to bring his teammates closer together and create a family-like atmosphere within the locker room. His commitment to his team was powerfully demonstrated when, after losing his father in October 2025, he still chose to be at the next day’s game because he knew his teammates needed him.

Kyle’s passion for hockey shines through every time he steps on the ice. He plays with joy, intelligence, and heart. Both on and off the ice, Kyle is thoughtful, motivated, and humble—always eager to learn and improve. He is a model of resilience, leadership, and love for the game.
