Occasionally, determining who the recipient of this award is difficult. This year, our choice is clear. Daniel is a person of exceptional character and is easily admired. His persistence is evident in his commitment to being a better hockey player and a better person, all while maintaining a positive and cheerful disposition. A truly well-rounded individual, he excels academically with some of the best grades in the state, plays the violin, and is proactively pursuing a future education and career in the Air Force. Furthermore, he is a dedicated member and one of the team captains for the High School Hockey team.

Daniel is the ideal recipient of the Hobey Baker award for the Central Indiana Knights. His excellent performance on the ice is matched by his role as a leader to his teammates. He consistently improves his own game, serving as a prime example of how dedication and hard work in practice translate to success during games. As a player, student, and team leader, Daniel demonstrates unwavering resolve and persistence. He truly embodies the core values of character, leadership, integrity, commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
