James Rieland is a four year starter for our program. He is an ultra-competitive young man who lives and breathes the game of hockey. His on ice skills are incredible. His skating, passing, and vision are next level. He holds our program single season and career assists records.

James is not only an excellent hockey player, he is an excellent person. A two year captain, he leads by example on and off the ice. He communicates with the coaches and his teammates in order to get the best out of everyone. As a sophomore, he took a younger player under his wing. James would go out of his way to drive the younger player to the rink in the season and the offseason. James is the only player from his school in our cooperative program. His passion for our program and his willingness to help has motivated many young kids from Melrose to join our program at the youth levels.
