James is the most talented player on our team. Our program is 30 years old and has been very successful. Since Covid, our hockey numbers have decreased dramatically and our team roster has decreased in roster size and skill level. When James entered as a freshman, he saw the position of the team. Rather than transfer (as another top level player did) he decided to stay and help rebuild our proud program. He has been the leader of our team since that day, playing countless minutes without complaint. His work ethic has been contagious and he constantly makes everyone around him better. James tore his ACL this year and missed the majority of his senior year. This award is a recognition of the character that embodies Hobey Baker that James has shown over his career here at SEP!
