Lucy Mithsulis is a player I have had the privilege of coaching for the past five years. During that time, I have watched her grow not only as a player, but as a confident, driven, and respectful young woman.
This season, Lucy served as a team captain and consistently led by example both on and off the ice. She is an outstanding role model for the youth in our community, dedicating countless hours on evenings and weekends to programs such as Mini Cyclones and our MENTOR Program.
On the ice, Lucy is a proven competitor with a strong ability to score and positively impact the game. Off the ice, she exemplifies exactly what it means to be a true student-athlete. Despite the significant time she commits to her sport and leadership roles, she continues to prioritize her academics and finds success in the classroom.
As Lucy moves on to her next chapter, I am confident she will continue to grow in all areas of her life—academically, athletically, and as a leader. I am excited to see what she accomplishes in the future, and I firmly believe she is an excellent representative of the State of Hockey.
