I have coached Izzy for the last 5 years in club hockey and now at Darien High School. She has grown not only as a player but as a person. She is the ultimate teammate, hard working, encouraging to others and a very good player. This year she is a Captain of our team which currently is ranked first in the State of Connecticut. On and off of the ice she is looked up to and respected by all she comes in contact with. She has been an advocate for the shoulder check organization which focuses on mental health support for athletes. On the ice she is a clutch performer with big goals in big games. In conclusion Izzy exemplifies the characteristics of Hobey Baker, I highly recommend her for this honor.
