David Rogers was selected as our Hobey Baker Award nominee because he truly embodies the character, leadership, and sportsmanship this award represents.

David has been a leader in our program throughout his high school career, serving as an assistant captain during his sophomore and junior seasons before being named team captain as a senior. That progression reflects the respect he has consistently earned from both his teammates and coaches.

He has made a deliberate effort to grow into a stronger leader, becoming a vocal and positive presence in the locker room and on the bench. He consistently builds teammates up, never breaking them down, and sets the standard for accountability and effort. He is often the first player to arrive at practice and the last to leave, demonstrating his commitment to continuous improvement.

David competes hard while maintaining composure and shows respect to opponents and officials at all times. He leads by example every day and represents our school and community the right way, making him a deserving Hobey Baker Award nominee.
