Ruby has been a Minnetonka Skipper high school girls’ hockey player for four years. She started her career by winning “The Most Improved Player” award as a freshman. She started that season off on our JV team. She trusted the process and did not let the fact that she had not earned a Varsity spot immediately deter her. She was persistent, resilient, and relentless in her work ethic, growth, and production. When given the opportunity to shine at the Varsity level, she did just that – she shined all season long. Ruby’s on-ice production has climbed each season. She currently is the Lake Conference overall point and goal-scoring leader; approaching her 100 career point milestone. Ruby is one of our team Captains in her Senior season. She is extremely coachable, she is a smart player, she is a pure goal-scorer, she uses her speed and physical strength to her advantage, she is fearless, and she is respected by her teammates and coaches. She is kind to all, she is caring, she has a great sense of humor, and she epitomizes what it means to be a student-athlete. Ruby excels in the classroom; accumulating a 4.0 GPA in her high school career. Ruby will be attending Quinnipiac University to play hockey and further her education next year.
