Gus Simanson has been a force on the ice for the past four seasons, consistently being the team’s most dynamic player. He is a gifted and highly skilled player who truly loves the game. Gus has been extremely coachable, always seeking opportunities to improve so he can better contribute to the team. Throughout his high school hockey career, he has displayed steady character and sportsmanship, both on and off the ice. Gus was voted by his fellow players to serve as the team’s captain his senior year, successfully leading the team to its best season in the history of the program. His commitment to the team, his teammates, and hockey is unsurpassed and he is most deserving of this award.
