Sophie Liposcak is a very welcoming, thoughtful, and caring teammate. This season, our team had the opportunity to mentor Bantam boys and 14AA girls, Sophie stepped up and was an outstanding role model both on and off the ice for the younger players. Sophie is the first person to compliment a teammate after a game and provides appropriate positive feedback to hype players up. She is a fantastic mediator when conflict may arise and gently confronts undesirable behaviors. Sophie provides insight as to how a person may feel about a situation and can empathize with a teammate. Sophie is very receptive to coaching feedback. She asks questions to not only understand but to be able to help a teammate who may need extra support. Sophie is protective of her teammates but plays a smart game of hockey and is respectful of the other team and referees. Sophie was selected as a Captain and has proven she is a fantastic leader with a bright future.
