I first met Ryan when I was coaching his younger brother. He had come to our practice to pick up him up. While he was waiting, he came right up to me, introduced himself, and shook my hand. I was blown away that a high school student would act this way when he was not told to. Several months had past and sure enough I took a job coaching Ryan’s team. He is respectful on and off the ice and leads by example.
