Kyle Dwyer
2017 | Connecticut | BOYS
Guilford High School | Indians | BOYS
Kyle Dwyer is an inspiration to anyone who believes he or she can accomplish something regardless of experience. He joined our team as freshman without prior experience. He was allowed to try out as a third string goalie when a friend on the team advocated for him. He convinced his coach that he had a passion for hockey when he began talking about regularly watching the Bruins play and cheering for Bruins goalie Tim Thomas. As a result of his dedication to his team and tireless efforts at learning his craft, he has played every game for his high school since his sophomore year ( a year in which his team voted him MVP). He will graduate with approximately twice as many wins as losses, at least one state- semifinal appearance and selection to the Connecticut High School Coaches Association Junior All-Star Games. As a team captain his senior year, he continues to lead by example by exhibiting great character and work ethic on and off of the ice. Off-ice, Kyle has also accomplished the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a high honors student.
