Skyler has been a member of the boys varsity ice hockey program at Cambridge Rindge & Latin School for the past four years. Over that time, Skyler has demonstrated himself to be a person of high character and dignity. He has always put the team first over personal accolades, and for the past two seasons, has demonstrated great leadership as both an alternate captain and captain of the varsity team. Outside the rink, Skyler is considered to be a leader within the school community and the community of Cambridge as a whole. He puts in countless hours volunteering within both communities, and has become known as a student who cares about others within the school community in particular. He is part of various organizations within the school who fights for equality and social justice rights of all the students within the school. His character is recognized and measured well beyond the boundaries of the rink making him a great choice for this type of recognition by the Hobey Baker Committee.
