Jack is a great example of the characteristics which the award represents. He has worn the captain’s patch for three years, being the youngest team captain in the Stars history. He has brought us excellent hockey skills and leadership skills to match, on and off the ice. Jack always puts out 100% individual effort while on the ice and because of this, his opponents find him very difficult to play against. He is also a great team player and a smart hockey player and because of this, his team mates find him very easy to play with. He has been the core of the Stars for three years and is always available to assist other players with any issues they may have and to offer good advice to players and coaches alike. Jack is easy going and presents an air of seriousness and dependability. He is someone you can always count on to have your back. Off the ice he has volunteered his time to the community and given back to the hockey community by coaching young players at hockey camps and clinics. Some of his High School Accomplishments:

-Captain of the DC Stars for 3 years
-90 career points
-All Met Honorable Mention (10th grade)
-All Conference Selection (10th and 11th grade)
-All league Selection (10th grade)
-Maryland State Semi-Finalist

-Did 2 weeks of community service in New Orleans over the summer as a sophmore
-Coached at a hockey camp for 5-12 year olds
-Volunteered at various hockey clinics
