McKenzie has under gone one of the hardest things a Senior student-athlete could every go through; ACL injury. McKenzie tore her ACL in soccer this past fall. She under went surgery beginning of September, and has been doing everything imaginable to get back on the ice for the tail end of her senior season of hockey. The character, integrity, and support she has shown throughout this entire process has been admirable. Even though she stood on the bench for nearly the entire season, her support, love, passion, and commitment for her teammates never wavered.
