Our Hamilton-Wenham Hockey Captain this season is senior defenseman Zack Walles. Zack exemplified leadership that all of our program’s young players strive for by demonstrating his commitment to work ethic, will to do whatever it takes to win, positive attitude in the face of adversity, and respect for officials, coaches, opponents, teammates, and self. Zack led his Generals teammates to our program’s best year ever culminating with our school’s first Cape Ann League title in seventeen years with a conference record of 6-0. He did all of this while playing the second half of the season with an injury which will require surgery. It is for all these reasons that Zack has been selected as the 2021-2022 Hamilton-Wenham Generals Hobey Baker High School Character Award recipient.
