Katessa is the soul of our team.  She is our moral compass and is willing to do the hard things, such as keeping her teammates in line and focused.  She regularly checks the social media outlets to ensure that our team is being appropriate and will speak one on one with players that are not being appropriate.  She cares more for the team and her teammates then she does for her own personal popularity.  She is an incredibly caring and one of the best leaders I have had the pleasure of working with in 31 years of coaching.  She will even call out the coaches if she feels that something is wrong and hurting the team.  She is the epitome of what I believe this award stands for!  She is a very worthy candidate.
