Matthew is a fine young man who exemplifies the idea of sportsmanship. He is a leader on the team by the example he sets. He may not be the best skilled player on the team but he is certainly the right player for this award. Matt’s father passed away while playing hockey this year. Good times help build character but adversity reveals it and what it showed me about Matt was that he is deserving of this award.
