Matt is in his second year of playing the sport of hockey, but in that short time he has made tremendous improvement of his skills and productivity for the team. Despite the fact that there are younger players on the team with more experience and skill, Matt’s passion for the game drives him to improve. He consistently seeks feedback from the coaching staff about his performance and takes every opportunity for extra ice time that he can. Matt also exudes a positive attitude, even in the instances where his skill prevents him from getting as much playing time as he would like. His attitude truly shows that the team is more important than the individual. He respects his teammates and his opponents like few players do. While Matt’s hockey skills continue to improve, there is no one that can doubt that his character is top-notch.
