Jake Brady
2016 | Massachusetts | BOYS
Walland High School | Warriors | BOYS
Jake has been a contributing member of the varsity hockey team for all four years. In that time, he has displayed degree of sportsmanship and integrity that is uncommon among high school athletes. Jake has been a big part of league and sectional championship teams and has also been named to the league all-star team. He should finish his career right around 95 points, more than a point per game average. He was elected captain by his peers for this, his senior year, due to his positive attitude, affable demeanor, and composure under pressure. He consistently puts his team above his own self-interests and is an active member of the community, taking part in runs for charity and organizing team community service, such as raking leaves and shoveling snow for elderly Wayland residents. Additionally, Jake is a role model in the classroom, overcoming a learning disability to consistently make the honor roll due in large part to discipline, diligence, and above all hard work. I cannot think of a student more befitting of this honor.
