Since meeting Britt at the beginning of the season, I have been continuously impressed not only by her leadership on ice but by the way she interacts and encourages her teammates off ice. Britt has long been a top state goalie standout but recently experienced an injury that could have easily taken her out of the sport of hockey but has instead decided to fight to get back on the ice. She has continued to work hard, come to every practice, and support her teammates and her replacement in net with the selflessness that only comes from someone with strong character. She could have understandably been down and depressed with her situation but instead has chosen to stay upbeat, positive, and caring of those around her. Every single rink we travel to all over the state has someone that has played with or has coached Britt and all could tell you the special type of player and teammate she is. I have been honored to get to know and coach this special young woman in her last year as the
