Crookston | Pirates | BOYS

Leyton is a senior defenseman for the Crookston Pirates and has been a four-year varsity player. Prior the start of his Junior season, Leyton tore his ACL during a football game and missed his entire junior year. The strength of character, integrity, and commitment to rehab he showed during that season was incredible to watch and as a coach I couldn’t have been prouder of how he handled himself. He came back and had a fantastic senior year, leading us again on the blue line and in the locker room. Very few players in my time have exemplified all the characteristics required of this prestigious award and Leyton is one of them.
