Simon helped lead our team through a cultural overhaul this season as team Captain. Simon always led by example doing the right thing and emphasizing character above all else. Simon demonstrates the right behavior whether in the classroom, in the locker-room or on the ice. This season with an extremely young team Simon was crucial to the growth and development of our team culturally. Simon was so outstanding in this regard moving forward our program has named an award recognizing the best cultural contributor to the team in his honor. Simons impact on the team will be hard to replace next season.
