Ceaselessly prioritizing the team and others above her individual needs, and promoting growth and encouragement among her peers, Sandrine is an ambassador for not only the Hotchkiss Girls Varsity Hockey team, but also, and more importantly, the school itself. Committed to excellence in the classroom and beyond, Sandrine is, consistently and without fail, invested in those endeavors of which she is a part, understands failure as feedback, and craves criticism in all areas of boarding school life. As a captain, Sandrine is humble, hardworking, and driven by a desire to contribute and improve. Among her peers, Sandrine is someone who constantly embodies the values of accountability, discipline, selflessness, and integrity. She simply does not know how to do anything other than give her all, whether it be in the classroom, the dormitory, or in her athletic environments. Her teammates will be the first to tell you that her love for the game of hockey and sportsmanship are near unrivaled, which is high praise when it’s coming from other players and students who, too, are dedicated to excellence and character. Sandrine is undeniably deserving of the Hobey Baker High School Character Award.
