We have enjoyed the privilege of watching Jack Campbell develop into an exemplar of Culver hockey and proudly nominate him for the Hobey Baker High School Character award. Jack embodies servant leadership and is a constant role model for his younger teammates. From setting the tone in the locker room to picking up pucks and nets at the end of practice, Jack quietly models the values of our program. This former goalie turned forward gives his best effort going in both directions on the ice and never fails to fulfill a role when asked by his coaches—Jack just loves hockey and wants his team to have a great experience. In three years of coaching Jack, we have never heard him speak poorly of an official or an opponent. He plays hard and then offers a genuine handshake after the game. I cannot think of a better student-athlete represent the ideals of the Hobey Baker High School Character Award.
