Dougie is the epitome of a lead by example young man, which is why he was selected as our team captain this year. He gives 100% effort in every practice and game, all while demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship toward all teammates, opponents, coaches, and referees. Dougie continues to dedicate his time to our team and improve his hockey skills while he maintains a rigorous academic schedule that involves multiple college level courses. As a first year head coach, having a leader like Dougie to trust has been a blessing and is why our coaching staff has chosen him as our Hobey Baker Award nominee.
