Leah has grown all four years of her high school career. She started out as a timid young freshman who would often find herself in the penalty box. Being a talented and tough player, going up against not so skilled players she would often get called for penalties. It caused her much frustration but instead of taking it out on the ice, she learned how to overcome it. Since then, she has flourished into a great leader on and off the ice. She has been a captain since Junior year due to her positivity on and off the ice and always being encouraging and a true role model to the younger girls. I have never had to worry about her missing practices and she constantly gives 110%. She is the true epitome of this award!!
