Nicky has played for the Mason varsity team for all 4 years, servings as an A his junior year and the C senior year. Nicky has led the team both on and off the ice, mentoring younger and less experienced players. He has led on-ice captains practices on his own, and has organized many off season development activities for the team. Nicky often drove multiple younger players for practices that couldn’t make it otherwise. Beyond being among the leaders in offensive point production (2nd Freshman year, 3rd Sophomore, 1st Jr and Sr year) perhaps his most impressive statistic is he has registered a total of only 2 penalty minutes in his entire high school career. This I feel is a perfect reflection of this character. He has been recognized by opposing coaches and referees as a very gentlemanly player and has been instrumental in helping his coaches run the team this year.
