George Hoyt is currently a Senior on the Stars program. Returning for his 3rd season, was an assistant Captain his Junior YR, leading the Stars in Goals. Heading into his Senior Year, George suffered a torn ACL at the beginning of the Football season. Named captain as a Senior for the Stars – George did not let his injury get him down. He worked hard to get back into shape, following everything his PT told him to do. George remarkably returned back to play on 1/7/23 in a conference game vs KMMO – scoring a goal on the first powerplay of the game. George was a fantastic teammate, an amazing captain leading the off ice sessions for the team during his IR period. George had been able to come back and play 7 games so far leading the Stars to a 5-2-0 record and putting up 4 Goals and 6 Assists for 10 points during that stretch. The team has been uplifted by his play and his leadership remains strong. George is a wonderful example of what the mission of this awards stands for – we gladly put him up to receive the award for our team this year.
