We have selected Rynne for the 2023 Hobey Baker award for a multitude of reasons. Rynne, a captain of our Varsity Girls Hockey team at BLS has grown into a well respected and rounded teammate and leader. While remaining competitive, Rynne has found the proper balance between sportsmanship and competitiveness. Her peers look up to her as a role model and is the definition of “leading by example” for the underclassmen and her peers. Always the first and last one on the ice, the one to distribute and collect pucks, Rynne proves that she was the right choice for a leader. As a coaching staff we highly recommend Rynne for the Hobey Baker award and know how successful she will be in her future.
