Nicholas (Nick) D’Andrea is a talented student athlete that I have had the privilege of coaching on the varsity ice hockey team for the last two seasons. He is one of the most dedicated, honest, competitive, and fearless leaders that I have coached. I have witnessed Nick take matters into his own hands and single-handedly put the team on his back on the road to victory. His hard work and dedication made his fellow teammates better players and greater competitors. He was named captain of the varsity ice hockey team in his senior season because of his leadership on and off the ice and the respect he commands from his peers. His presence in the locker room, on the bench during games, and on the ice during practices and games is unprecedented. Nick’s teammates rely on his focus and drive and completely trust in his fearlessness. Nick is also actively involved with St. Anthony’s and has an impressive 96.46 grade point average.

It has been my honor to coach Nick over the past two seasons and my pleasure to recommend him for the prestigious Hobey Baker High School Character Award.
