Greyson Peterson
2023 | Minnesota | BOYS
North Shore | Storm | BOYS
It gives me great pleasure to write this story for Greyson Peterson as he is being nominated for the Hobey Baker Award.
I have known Greyson as a “Rink Rat” hockey player for the past four years. He has always spent a great deal of time at the hockey rinks throughout the extended winter months in Minnesota playing the game that he loves.
Having the opportunity of watching him grow into a mature young man, I was able to observe special qualities not usually found in student athletes his age. Greyson has an incredible desire to excel in whatever he sets his mind on. He has made hockey and academics a priority. Greyson is one that understands that commitment and hard work are major attributes of being successful. Those that know him cannot help being impressed with his sincerity and maturity.
Greyson has always been a “Natural Leader” both on and off the ice. He has proven himself by his commitment and desire; which has trickled down to his teammates. Greyson takes pride in this added responsibility and approaches it in a very serious manner. He has a great understanding of teamwork and appears to recognize the importance of the different personalities and roles that each player brings to the team. Greyson is able to capitalize on this understanding of teamwork and is able to utilize this skill set to motivate his teammates. He remains goal driven and continues to seek out opportunities for personal growth to support his goals but more important to assist others. These attributes is why Greyson Peterson is being nominated for the Hobey Baker Award.
