Jacob has been a varsity hockey player at Osseo for all four years of his high school career. As a coach, I’ve been able to witness his development and maturity in regards to being a student athlete, and a true representative of great hockey ambassador. He leads by example on and off the ice. Playing and practicing with a purpose and understanding that the game is bigger than the individual. His off ice commitment to the community and younger players has been second to none. His sportsmanship and competitive nature on the ice reflect our hockey culture to a tee, and his character in the classroom, community and ice rink repeatedly represent exactly what the Hobey Baker award stands for. Jacob’s love for the game is easily observed during games, practice, and after hours when he can help grow the game by volunteering his time with the younger generation. His leadership skills and work ethic are first class, and will continue to make that impact for him during his next chapter and on. Keep up the great work Jacob!!
