I have been coaching hockey for 38 years. Charlie is one of the smartest hockey players, as far as hockey IQ, that I have ever coached. Charlie, this year, received the MVP award for Lake of the Woods Hockey. He was valuable, not only as one of the top point getters on the team, but he was valuable as the captain of the hockey team, in leadership of all the young men, in setting an example in his kindness, and his work ethic, and his respect, and his coach-ableness. Charlie would be the first one to congratulate or give compliments to the younger hockey players. He was respectful and honoring to the coaching staff. If anybody is eligible for such a reward as this, it is Charlie Eck.
