I have never had the privilege to coach a player as passionate for the sport than Calli. (Due to her town not having a girl’s team) Calli played for the boys team her freshman and sophomore year and come to us last season as a junior. She ended her high school career this season as senior with 18 goals and 15 assists for 33 points. Though Calli is an incredible hockey player, it’s not her skill that makes her a great player, but instead her love for her teammates. There isn’t a moment Calli isn’t doing everything possible to best support her teammates and that’s what makes her a great such a great leader. Calli is everything the Hobey Baker award represents and I am honored to nominate her for this Character Award.
