Character, excellence and sportsmanship. These are the values that the Hobey Baker Character Award was built around. A four year Varsity player, Matthew truly embodies all of these virtues. As a three year captain, Matthew excelled not only on the ice but off the ice and in the classroom as well. Excellent work ethic, a positive attitude, and a will to succeed is what Matthew showed every single day. I know that Matthew will continue to excel in whatever he chooses to pursue going forward.
