Erin Condon is a coach’s dream and one of the hardest-working players on our team. She always gives 100% and is a leader on and off the ice. Erin is the Patrice Bergeron of our team, taking charge in both the offensive and defensive zones when she is on the ice. With her natural hockey sense and eagerness to grow her knowledge, Erin is never afraid to ask questions, and happy to make suggestions on plays we should implement based on her observation of our opponent’s strategies. Erin strives to help make everyone better and is happy to share her insights, always putting the team as a whole first. Her dedication, character, and incredible leadership skills lead her to be voted a captain of this year’s team.
Erin exhibits all of these wonderful character traits in our community as well. The Hanover High School’s Be Better Club has a mission to spread kindness and help everyone be more inclusive and accepting of others. There is no better leader for this club than Erin Condon as she exemplifies these actions with her teammates, peers, and community members. She goes above and beyond connecting with younger students through the Be Better Club, helping them feel more comfortable at school.
In summary, Erin Condon exemplifies the values of sportsmanship, leadership, and community engagement that the Hobey Baker Award celebrates. Her contributions to her team and her community make her a standout individual, and she serves as an inspiration to all who have the privilege of knowing her.
