It is with great honor that I would like to nominate Antonio Lombari for the High School Hobey Baker Award. Tony has exemplified a number of qualities that make him an excellent candidate for this award. He is extremely coachable, always open to learning and growing, both as a player and as a person. His strength of character shines through in every action, displaying resilience in the face of adversity and humility in moments of triumph. Tony has endured several significant injuries during his 4 years as a varsity letterman and through every setback he has worked so hard to get back to be with his teammates. He has consistently demonstrated honesty, fairness, and ethical behavior, both on and off the ice and his commitment to excellence is unwavering, showing dedication and perseverance day in and day out. Tony’s leadership both on the ice and in the community has fostered a sense of belonging and camaraderie that extends far beyond the rink. And let us not forget his outstanding sportsmanship, Tony always displays grace in victory and defeat. He truly loves the game, always striving to compete with honor and dignity, inspiring those around them to do the same.
