Seamus Donofry has exemplified character traits that embodied those that represent the essence of the Hobey Baker Award…… Teamwork, Dedication, Integrity, Exceptional Play, Humility, and above all, Character.

His 2023 / 2024 on-ice accomplishments included 7 goals and 23 assists resulting in a total of 30 points, establishing him as the second best in the SHSHL for assists and placed him at the top of Abington’s team rankings for total points.

He has demonstrated why he wears the “C” on his jersey as he has exemplified what a leader does, both on and off the ice. He has become a mentor to the incoming freshman, never relented during a challenging year in which he took the reigns from a two-time defending SHSHL championship team and persevered the team back to post season play.

He become a trusted advisor to the coaches and accepted his role of being the sole team captain with all of its obligations including playing multiple positions and sacrificing scoring opportunities to position for defensive help when needed. His hard work ethic and presence will be missed in the locker room, in practices and on game night.
