Drew was a senior last season for us and his journey to varsity hockey is inspiring. He never made a top team in youth hockey, got cut from the high school program as a sophomore and changed positions and played a season of junior gold. Came back and tryout as a junior and was a top player on the jv team. Came back as a senior and during tryouts ask to meet and told me how much he wanted to play and would do anything for the team. He made the team and played both defense and forward. Some games he played a lot and some games didn’t play a shift but was always committed to the team and had a positive attitude.
