Matthew Vervlied has earned the recognition brought by the awarding of the 2014 Hobey Baker award through his consistent demonstration of character, a positive attitude on & off the ice, willingness to sacrifice personal achievement in order for the team to succeed and scholastic achievement.

Matt has been a cornerstone of the Wissahickon School Ice Hockey program for 8 years providing leadership through example to his teammates and was elected Alternate Captain in his senior season by the coaching staff.
