Ian Burke plays the game with passion and heart, always looking to pass first, and never take the credit. He puts his team in front of himself. Although his main focus is hockey, he also finds time to volunteer at his church and is always one of the first to volunteer at the rink to help kids with disabilities learn the great game of hockey. He has also volunteered to participate in the Leadership Academy, all years permitted, which focuses on building leaders for the future. It is a program offered by the Florida Panthers Scholastic Hockey League (FPSHL).
It has been a pleasure to have Ian on my team throughout my years of coaching, to watch him grow and develop into a fine young man and teammate. Not only as his coach but also as his Dad!
