Leadership in a gentlemanly manner.  Plays the game hard, but clean.  Is easy to be approached by younger players and is willing to do anything for the team and for the sport.  One important story about Thomas:  Earlier this year our team placed pink ribbons on our helmets in honor of 4 mothers who are battling breast cancer for the opposing team.  We lost that game 10-3 but late in the game Thomas scored a goal for our squad.  He skated over to the visiting croud, tapped the pink ribbon on his helmet with his glove, and then tapped his heart.  It was one of the most meaningful things that I’ve ever seen somebody do in my life, and as a human being and as a coach I’ll never forget it for the rest of my life.  He is a true Gentleman of the game.
