Katie is a senior hockey player that has always shown the highest level of character on and off the ice.  She is a team player who always puts her teammates first and does whatever she can to help her team be successful.  Her academic commitment and her dedication to her classmates and team at East Ridge High School make this award a well deserved one for Katie.  She is a player who takes responsibility for her and our teams performance and never makes excuses.  I have known her for three season now and she never ever is outworked by anyone in practices or games.
