Lynn has been successful as one of our captains and starting varsity defense.  She has played five years on the Mankato West Girls Varsity Hockey team.

My position as Lynn’s Guidance Counselor and Hockey Coach has allowed me to see her in a variety of settings.  She is one of the most visible students I have worked with.  Lynn has achieved distinction by taking a demanding class schedule. Her classroom performance is consistent, marks always in the “A”range.  Teachers relay that Lynn’s commitment is total.  She strives to do well in her written work, is on task, and is engaged in class discussions.

More than just being popular and well liked; Lynn is respected by peers, faculty and teammates. She sets high standards for herself and is uncompromising in her values.  I characterize her as being confident, self-reliant, honest, loyal to a fault, genuine, supportive and independent.  Her teammates hold her opinions and expertise in high regard.

Integrity is one word that comes to mind with Lynn this season.  Lynn has kept sacred the fundamental values that our coaching staff seek in all players. She demonstrates sound moral and ethical principles on and off the ice rink.  Honesty and trust are central in her communication with our players.  Lynn is the type of player that draw’s others to her because she is trustworthy and dependable.  Lynn has been the
