Adam is a graduating senior who has never played above a house league/rec league level and was a good JV player over his 4 years in high school and he was always there when needed with a positive attitude and willing to do whatever the team needed. We have a small Varsity team and Adam would dress for Varsity games knowing his role was to help serve penalties and would be ready to go out and play when needed. There were games that Adam would not see the ice and other games when we didn’t expect to need him that he played regular shifts. He knew just being there in whatever capacity needed from game to game and cheering on his teammates was so valuable to our success as a team. For Adam, who also was named one of the Captains for the JV team this year, it was always about what was best for the team, not worrying about the individual.
